Ring handled square spade

The square spade is the most common and widely used on the market.

In the construction industry, it is primarily used for mixing. Its square shape makes it ideal for compacting soft ground such as sand or mud, as it gathers up lots of material, owing to its flat end.

The square spade is not recommended for applying excessive downward force, as it has no side edges on which to place the feet, and it is also slightly sloping.
